The trade deadline may be over, but that didn’t stop the Cleveland Cavaliers from strengthening their lineup. After the trade deadline the Dallas Mavericks waived former All-Star Deron Williams, a player who has been of interest for the Cavaliers.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been searching for a backup point guard for Kyrie Irving all season long, and singing D Will may be a key factor for the Cavs once the postseason starts.
Williams has averaged 16.8 points, 8.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 34.8 minutes per game in his 13 years in the NBA. D Will has been of the gas a little bit this season putting up 13.1 points and 6.9 assists in 40 games for the Mavericks.
Deron Williams has joined the 2017 NBA champion with a hope of winning a Championship ring, something that has eluded the 3x All-Star in the course of his NBA career.
